HiFi Bar system upgrade Nov 08

JAS recently installed an Outline Butterfly audio system into the HiFi bar Melbourne . We decided that the HiFi bar was well over due for new system having had the Meyer MSL3 system there for the last 10 years. We looked at a few options and the vibe we got from engineers around town was they all wanted something new. A lot of venues have the processed passive Nexo systems and I guess they're all sick of that sound.

After installing an Outline Butterfly line array system into the Forum Theatre and the fantastic results we got from that we decided that the Butterfly was the way to go. It's a 3 way active system and just sounds amazing

New FOH Console

Also we felt it was time to start installing Digidesign consoles into the JAS in-house venues. JAS has found that 95% of all the touring acts are asking for Digidesign consoles.

We have installed a Profile Mix-rack system with the HDX card and access to record the shows to

pro-tools via a small recording booth within the venue. We have run cables from the FOH console position to the recording booth. It's our intension to start giving all the touring acts the ability to record.

This is the first one and we hope to start changing over the other systems throughout 2009.

Lighting system upgrade

We have added to the house 32 par cans 6 x Robe 250 moving head lights and a new Jands Echeleon console.
