Silverchair May 07’

With a number one single and a number one album Silverchair hit the road for the first time in 5 years. The national tour soldout in a few hours and Bruce was engaged to do FOH sound.

The tour took in 3 Johnston Audio in-house productions. The Tivoli Theatre Brisbane, Enmore Theatre Sydney and the Metro Theatre Melbourne. Bruce decided to use the in-house systems and just tour a FOH FX rack.

Saul Skouterides was on hand for the monitors and toured a DiGiCo D5 console and 4 sends of Nexo PS15 wedges.

JAS also supplied a Vdosc system for the Adelaide Thebarton Theatre show. In Perth we used the house Nexo Geo D system.

Bruce said “It certainly made for an interesting tour using a different system every show but in the end it all sounded great. The band where really firing which made it a pleasure to mix.”

Silverchair are heading to the states in June/July and taking in Europe early August. Stay tuned for an Australian tour later in the year.
