Johnston Audio Services at Make Poverty History Concert

JAS supplied the audio for the recent Make Poverty History concert at the Myer Music Bowl. With a huge lineup of local and international bands and changeover times of 15 minutes, the concert certainly had its challenges. JAS and crew were up for it and the show ran on time. The show was filmed and later played on TV as well as being given away as a DVD in the Herald Sun the following week.

With a line up of bands like… Jet, Paul Kelly, Eskimo Joe, Daddy Cool blar blar need to fill in..

One of the surprise guests was the Pearl Jam band with Bono and the Edge from U2. Bruce was asked to mix the Pearl Jam show by their FOH engineer as he was unavailable. Later on it was said that Bono and the Edge were coming down to play with them as well. Bruce got a call from Jon O’Hearly U2’s FOH engineer and said he was coming down to give them a familiar face. Bruce said “ Once John turned up out front I said you may as well mix the 2 vocals and I’ll do the band mix as we only have 2 songs and it’s the first band of the day with no soundcheck! Plus it would make a great photo!” See below…

The system supplied was a Vdosc system.
