Johnston Audio

James Blunt Australian Tour March 2006

James Blunt has become a huge success and his first Australian tour was no different.

Johnston Audio supplied a V-Dosc system for the sold out shows at the Hordern in Sydney, Melbourne Festival Hall, the Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide and the Brisbane Convention Centre.

James Blunt was the first international tour for Johnston Audio’s V-Dosc system. Certain parties may have been spreading stories that Johnston Audio was not up to speed with the V-Dosc system, but this tour certainly put paid to those nasty rumours!

The system on the road included 24 x VDosc elements, 6 x dV-Dosc elements, 18 x Wayloud dual 18” subs and 12 x ARCS cabinets, all run with Lake Contour processing and Camco Vortex 6 amplifiers. Monitors were Nexo PS15 and Nexo Alpha E side fills. Consoles were a Midas XL4 at FOH and a Midas Heritage 3000 on monitors.

Jock Bain was the FOH CVE on tour with Mark “Creepy” Crawley rigging the monitor system.
