Digidesign VENU Console

Digidesign VENU Console

VENUE is a modular system that can be custom-configured for a range of live sound applications. Its basic components include the D-Show™ mixing console, FOH (front-of-house) Rack (which houses the system’s mix engine), Stage Rack (with recallable, remote-controlled preamps), and multi-channel digital snake.

The system’s highly expandable architecture allows up to 96 mic inputs, 16 stereo effects returns, 27 buses, eight mono matrices, and eight stereo matrices, all of which provide a new level of flexible signal distribution. Stereo matrices can be treated as a monitor submixer and controlled remotely by the artist using the optional Digidesign® Personal Q™ (PQ) monitoring system. The powerful mix engine provides EQ and dynamics processing on every input channel, along with 24 assignable graphic EQs and built-in support for TDM plug-ins.

All mixing surfaces and racks offer dual-redundant power supplies and are purpose-built to measure up to the highest reliability standards in the industry. VENUE also offers direct hardware and software integration with industry-standard Pro Tools® digital audio workstations via a simple digital connection, without the need for any audio interfaces.

DigiDesign Profile Console

DigiDesign Profile Console detail

This compact mixing console is a size-conscious alternative to its acclaimed big brother D-Show™, the flagship console of the VENUE line. It’s also fully compatible with all existing VENUE hardware and software. That’s right—with D-Show Profile, the legendary sound quality, flexibility, and reliability of a VENUE system is now available for small- to mid-sized environments and applications such as houses of worship, corporate events, theaters, nightclubs, and remote broadcasts.

D-Show Profile takes full advantage of existing Stage and FOH racks, and allows you to connect your VENUE system to Pro Tools|HD® and Pro Tools LE™ systems via an additional hardware option for recording and playback. Best of all, D-Show and D-Show Profile operate on the same D-Show™ control software and operating system, meaning you can forget about ever having to learn new software or rebuild your console settings from scratch when moving between VENUE mixing consoles.

Compact Form Factor

The console’s compact footprint allows D-Show Profile to fit into venues where space is a challenge without compromising the power, sound quality, and flexibility for which VENUE has become known. And if you’re a current VENUE user, D-Show Profile provides a smaller mixing alternative that works with your existing system, allowing you to expand your business into new applications.

Total Show File Portability

D-Show Profile uses the same D-Show software as its larger sibling D-Show, enabling you to create and load files for use on either console. This means that you won’t need to learn new software if you’re already familiar with D-Show, or build new show files when you switch consoles.

Full Hardware Compatibility

D-Show Profile is fully compatible with all existing VENUE hardware components, including FOH and Stage racks. Rental companies needn’t fear product obsolescence as needs grow, but can simply add another mixing console to their current arsenal. No need to change existing workflows and system designs.

Unique Features

D-Show Profile offers expanded show control options with the new General Purpose Interface (GPI). Through eight GPI inputs and eight outputs, D-Show Profile can send or respond to external equipment via simple switch closures. Used in conjunction with the new Event List feature in D-Show 2.5, you can build and customize extensive macros that enable the console to perform multiple functions with a single button push, footswitch press or fader movement.
