The 2003 Dance Music Awards were held at the NIDA Parade Theatre in Sydney .
The annual awards are a celebration of the talent, diversity and achievements of the Australian Dance Music industry. It is a dynamic, entertaining and fast moving show featuring leading DJ's and live acts, celebrity presenters and host Adam Spencer of Triple J.
Johnston Audio supplied a Nexo Alpha system with a Yamaha PM4000 running front of house. The Nexo PS15 and Alpha-E monitor rig was driven with a Soundcraft SM12 console.
Johnston Audio's crew of Richard Robinson (FOH), Saul Skouterides (monitors) and Tim West (system tech) ensured that the audio production ran seamlessly. The show included 5 live acts with tight changeovers, pre-recorded stings, audio feed from the video producers and presenters at a lectern. Channel V broadcast the show live, using an audio mix matrixed from the PM4000 console. |
